- Thoroughbred(3): this breed is mainly used for horse racing because they move really quickly. This breed developed in England for horse racing and jumping. This breed is very agile and it can reach up to 43.97mph which is about 44mph says "Guiness Book of World Records".
- Appaloosa(4): this breed is known for then its spotted coat, there base coat colors are bay, black, grey, roan, palimino ( yellowish ), dun, and more. On top of the base coat color is normally grey spots. This word Appaloosa originated from the Nex Pierce Indians. The appaloosa is known for being both a western and english horse.
- Friesian(6): this breed has no other coat colors besides black. Friesians originated from Friesland ( a province of the Netherlands .) Mainly used for dressage, pleasure, and driving.
- Arabian(2): "The origin of this breed remains a zoological mystery" says http://www.arabianhorses.org . Arabians are known for doing saddle seat and dressage. They are also very well known for there endurance.
- Quarter Horse (1): The quarter horse can be traced back to Colonial America. The Quarter Horse breed is most used for western events ( ie. pleasure, speed, reining). The Quarter Horse name came from the horse running a quarter mile for horse races and thats how they came up with the breed name.
- Shetland Pony(5): This breed originated from from the Shetland Isles, this is located northeast of Scottland. THis breed would be called the breed for children because of there size and personality.They can also be used for racing and jumping. A interesting fact about this breed is that they sometimes can be used for the blind.
